About me

I'm a Registered Member of the Association for Project Safety and I'm qualified to act as a
CDM Principal Designer

Competence and experience

Under the CDM Regulations 2015, a CDM Principal Designer must have the "skill, knowledge and experience" to carry out the role

I undertook training to become a Planning Supervisor under the 1994 regulations; I attended a CDM 2007 training course given jointly by the National House-Building Council (NHBC) and the Association for Project Safety (APS); I passed the qualifying examination which was set and assessed by the APS and I became a fully qualified and registered CDM Co-ordinator (CDMC); I've also attended a training course on CDM2015 and am qualified to act as a CDM Principal Designer (PD)

I have acted as Planning Supervisor and CDMC on numerous projects, see My Clients.
Projects include, schools, public houses, hotels, bridge works, farm buildings, sports centres, clubs, livery stables and university buildings.

I'm also an Architect so I have both the design and H&S experience to carry out the role of CDM Principal Designer or give independent CDM advice

I'm a Registered Member of the APS (RMaPS)

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

As part of the demonstration of competence, I undertake a programme of continuing professional development. This takes the form of practical experience, the attendance of targetted courses and of distance learning courses
